SOCIAL GATHERINGS.

On \f ednesday evening, at her home in Eemuera, Miss Norah Whineray gave a party to some of her students. Several pianoforte and elocutionary items were given, and the evening was brought to a cloee with some jolly games and competitions. Those present were: Mrs. Bright, Misses E. Gunman, E.
