FARMERS' AUCTIONEERING CO.

TWO DIRECTORS ELECTED. MESSES. MANNING AND REID. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. The election of two directors of the Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., to fill vacancies caused by the retirement of Messrs. H. S. Hawkins and J. Barugh resulted: —Mr. A. E. Manning, 1892; Mr. D. S. Reid, 1355; Mr. H. H. Short, 1124; Mr. M. Wells, 782; Mr. A. W. Blanchard, 386; informal, 12. v . A motion that the following resolution be placed on record was carried: "The shareholders of the company learn with great sorrow and regret that the chairman and director, Mr. H. S. Hawkins, and the vice-chairman, Mr. J. Barugh, have declined to stand for reelection at the annual meeting. We are cognisant of the fact that they \vere the only elected members of the board who signed the original deed of incorporation. We recognise the great value of their services rendered for 25 years, which has entailed a vast sacrifice of time and money, which few care to make. Th'ey have been guided by high ideals, which we all admire. Their work for the company will stand as a memorial-for all time. For services ungrudgingly given and faithfully carried out, the shareholders tender, heartfelt thanks, and wish them many years of happiness in their retirement."
