CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP. PART-INTEREST ACQUIRED. MT COOK MOTOR COMPANY. OTHER SALES IX VIEW. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUXEDIX, this day. The Mount Cook Motor Co., Ltd., which controls The Hermitage, Mount Cook, tho White Star Hotel, Queenstown, and is largely interested in the Tongariro Park Tourist Co., owners of Chateau Tongariro at National Park, is acquiring an interest in Hotel Cargcn, Auckland. Cargen will undergo extensive, alterations, and will be run on the lines of the company's other hotels. It is understood that negotiations are proceeding by the company for the taking over of the Grand Hotel, Dunedin, the lessee of which, Mr. A. A. Paape, is at present in Australia. Similar negotiations, affecting one oi ! the larger hotels in Eotorua, are said to be proceeding, and the company also lias in view the erection at Lake Waikarauoana of a similar hotel to ■ the Chateau Tongariro.
