Cleal, a twelve-year-old schoolboy Soccerite who plays centre for Graf ton School and the Carlton sixth grad ( e club, as a record. His tally this season is officially stated to be 100 goals, 85 of which he has scored in competition games, and the balance in representative and representative trial matches. Young Cleal, who is captain of his side, has played for Auck-: land primary school representatives riri* all their games this season "against Wellington, Manawatu and Waikato, and has taken part in five•;club "and school competition finals," four of which his side has won and.one lost .bygone goal. This record for a New Zealand-born and bred Soccerite marks a distinct epoch in' the establishing' of the .gaine. amongst the youth of the Doniiipibnj ,and_ also makes its clever holder almost' a "cert." for the All Black side to tour Australia next season.
