WAIKATO NOTES.

A bridge evening was spent at the home of Mrs. J. F. Strang, River Road, Claudelands, on Monday. The occasion 1 was a return match between the Frankton Hill Club and the Claudelands Club. At the end of the evening's play the scores of the Fraukton Hill players were the highest. Mrs. F. B. Jolly won the firet prize for the visiting club, and Mrs. J. E. Chitty for the Claudelands Club. Those present included: Mesdames J. F. Strang, G. Valder, F. B. Jolly, W. D. Ross, G. P. Rogers, A. L. Sheppard, P. R. Stewart, J. Williams, J. D. Smith, H. J. Ferguson, H. Hammond, E. P. Cowle*, H. Last Friday Mrs. Hopkirk, of Cambridge, invited a number of gardening enthusiasts to see her daffodils. An enjoyable time was spent, the daffodils being greatly admired.
