CLUB SOCIAL.

The Alpine Sports Club held a veryenjoyable social gathering at Miss Johnson's hall, Omahu Road, Remuera, last evening. Miss Betty Macfarlane wa.s hostess and received the gueets in a frock of palest pink georgette with beaded embroideries. The hall was delightfully arranged with variegated streamers and the time was pleasantly passed with musical and elocutionary items, after which dancing was held. Those contributing to the programme were: Mr. Alan Tizard, who gave a flute solo accompanied by Mrs. W. A. Thomson; Miss Helen Seabrook, humorous sketch; Miss Freda Gaudin, songs; Mrs. Lowrie MacGregor, sketch; Mr. Ronald Muston, violin solos; and Mr. W. H. Cocker, who gave a travel 1 lecturette ou a trip to Honolulu. Miss Theo. Halpin acted as accompanist to the musical items. Among those present were: Mrs. W. J. Thomson, wearing a frock of black embossed georgette; Mrs. E. Macfarlane, black satin; Mrs. Rose, frock of pink satin; Mrs. K. Griffin, pink taffeta; Mrs. D. MacGregor, black spotted net; Miss Edna Bowell, orange frilled net; Mies Y. Orbell, white satin; Miss L. Waite, black ring velvet; Miss Helen Seabrook, blue georgette' with frilled taffeta; Miss F. Gaudin,: palest pink lace and georgette; Miss M. • Jowitt, yellow georgette and satin; Miss : Grace Wright, white georgette; Miss Theo. Halpin, white georgette; Miss P. j Xeweombe, white georgette beaded in! gold; Mies E. Stubbs, green net frock; > Miss X. Orbell, apricot embossed georgette; Miss Olive Lloyd, black satin; Miss Knight, black satin; Miss M. Murdoch, pink georgette; Miss G. Tilly, petunia georgette; Miss M.
