This is a general favourite with 3 ' & Required: 802 sugar, lot butter, * r ; spoonful strained lemon juice, * , ; blanciied and finely-chopped aluKUw > |y half a gill of cold water. y , | Put the sugar and water on*- > heat, and stir until sugar has §Sj Cut tiie butter into small pieces, # g;j to the otlier ingredients, and bnflg .• 1 toffee to the boil. . <j ve I? 1 Continue boiling for thirty " ft|| minutes. Add the flavouring ana p| and turn the toffee into a greased ;j . t°'set. '
