WORKED AT HIS TRADE.

CAR DEMONSTRATOR FINED. "CHOSE THE LESSER EVIL." Caught by a policeman driving a motor car, which had a demonstrating registered number plate, G. R. Urquhart, was prosecuted at the Police Court this morning for working at his trade on a Sunday. "It is an offence to use a car with a demonstrating number plate on a Sunday, whether the user is on pleasure or to sell a car," said Sub-Inspector McCarthy. "Defendant said he was demonstrating the car to a prospective purchaser, so he has chosen the lesser evil." Urquhart was fined £1 and costs.
