CHINESE ABOARD.
MOERAKI MASTER FINED £300. (Received 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Captain Loriard, master of the steamer Moeraki, was lined £300 for having prohibited immigrants on his vessel. Captain Loriard stated that three Chinese, w ho were found living in liltli and stench in a lifeboat after a journey from Fiji came aboard without his knowledge. They, being prohibited immigrants, were sentenced to six months imprisonment.
