WAIHI G.M. CO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) WAIHI, this day. The following Information has been cabled to London :—>io. S level, north section of Empire lode, driving north-east, the first 37ft assays 9/3 per ton. No. 9 level. Empire lode, east: This drive has now connected with junction main south, crosscut, and crosscutting has been started north at 139 ft east. OPERATIONS AT WAIHI. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, Thursday. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Gold Mining Company, Ltd.: — No. S Level—North section of Empire lode: Driving north-east the first 37ft assays 9/3 per ton. No. 9 Level. —Empire lode east: This drive has now connected with the Junction main south crosscut, and we have commenced crosscutting north at 139 ft east. MANAGERS' REPORTS. Hauraki ilines.—The manager reports as follows :—"As soon as the bank returns for the gold aold is to hand the detailed return will be made. The quartz hopper at the mine is about completed, and crushing at the battery will be resumed to-morrow (Tuesday). The passes at both ends of the stopes are full, And towards the end of this week stoping will be res med at the point where the last lot of specimen stone was got, and where gold is showing in the I back of the stope. Driving on the Green Harp teef from the deviation drive has advanced Sft through bands of quartz up to Jin in width.
