PUBLIC SERVICE RECOGNISED.
MR. B. F, SPIERS, OF MURCHISON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Thursday. At the conference of New Zealand Motor Traders at Palmerston North this evening a presentation was made to Mr. B. F. Spiers, of Murchison, in recognition of the public service rendered by him during the earthquake. Mr. Spiers is a motor contractor, and his vehicles were freely placed in use in the evacuation of settlers from the stricken area.
