CLAIM FOR CARTAGE.
Reserved judgment was given by Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., at Waiuku in the case in which Peter Parry, of Akaaka, carrier (Mr. Burt and Mr. Heise), sued the Waikato and Thames Valley Co-op. Calf By-product Co., Ltd. (Mr; Swarbrick) for £94 13/1, an amount claimed by Parry for cartage and "bobby" calves purchased, together with sacks and salt supplied. After reviewing the evidence, the magistrate 'said the only question he was called upon to consider was whether there was a contractual relationship between tho plaintiff and the defendant company, whether directly or through an agent named Barker, to make the company liable for the sums claimed by the plaintiff. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £94 13/1, with costs and witnesses' expenses, £13 2/9.
