OBJECTION TO ABRITRATOR.
I . NAPIER COUNCIL'S ACTION. UPHELD BY JUDGE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. Mr. Justice McGregor gave reserved judgment in the Supreme Court to-day in a case in which the Napier City Council appeared in support of a summons for the removal of J. J. Lancaster, electrical engineer of Wellington (Hawke's Bay Power Board's nominee) as arbitrator in a question referred to arbitration in respect of a bulk supply agreement between the board and the council. His Honor held that since Lancaster had been in the employ of the Hawke's Bay Power Board he could not be expected to approach the matter without a slight though unintended bias in favour of his former employers. His Honor accordingly ordered his removal from the position of arbitrator.
