TAMAKI YACHT CLUB. ANNUAL ELECTION OF OFFICERS'. The fifth annual meeting of the Tamaki Yacht Club was held last evening in the Imperial Theatre, Kohimarama, the commodore. Mr. \V. A. Wilkinson, presiding over a good attendance of members, including a number of ladies. The report submitted by the lion, secretary, Captain IT. C. Barnes, stated that the past year had been a very successful one from every point of view. Bacing was held on lour days, including the club regatta, at which the scow Thistle was flagship, being moored off Kohimarama wharf. The racing was keenly contested and carried out in a friendly spirit, no protests being received during the season. The membership was 1-Mi, an increase, over last year of 19. The picnic was held at Motuihi, and was well supported by residents of both bays. The

ladies' committee had carried out a number of social events, all of which increased

the clubhouse fund, and the thanks of members were due to all who assisted. The ladies submitted a special report, which showed

that the various social events'resulted in a net sum of £54 S/3 being added to the clubhouse fund, which now stood at £ 3/3. Mr. Marshall 'White reported on the position regarding the clubhouse site, which was very satisfactory, and it- was decided to adopt his suggestions for a lease of the clubhouse site at Bastion Point for 21 years, at a nominal rental. The balancesheet, submitted by Mr. A. 11. Forbes, showed receipts to have been £212 10/3. which included £92 1/11 from social events and picnics, and from subscriptions, donations and entrance fees, £35 16/ti. The expenditure amounted to £IS2 12/8, leaving a credit balance of £29 17/9.

Moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, Mr. Madill said it reflected credit on all concerned. The chairman also congratulated members on the club's good position, and made special mention of the work of the ladies' committee for the clubhouse funds, also Mr. Marshall' White's efforts to secure the site, which had been most successful.

Andrew] D. Burch. A. Reid. and F. Brockett; clubhouse captain, Mr. Alan White; hon solicitor, Mr. Marshall White ; hon. auditors, Messrs. J. Allison and W. McLaren; hon' architect; Mr. M. K. Draffin ; starter, yir. W. A. Wilkinson: time-keeper, Mr R Nicholas; judge, Mr. B. Wild; delegates to Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association. Messrs. W. A. W'lkinson and E. Rowe. The subscription was fixed at 3/, with an inclusive fee of 10/ per boat for entrv and subscription for the season. £10 was voted to the boathouse fund. Votes of thanks were accorded the retiring treasurer, Mr. A. H. Forbes, who had left the district, the Ladies' Committee, also Mr. Marshall White, the retiring officers and committee, and the hon. secretary, Capt Barnes. On the motion of the commodore it was decided to add events for open and B class outboard boats on each race day. A number of new members were elected, and 22 trophies were promised for the coming season, including an Island canoe donated by Captain Burgess, of the mission steamer Southern Cross.
