CRICKET.
CANTERBURY ORGANISATION. (b'y Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. By a majority of 34 votes to 14 the annual meeting of delegates to the Canterburv Cricket Association rescinded a motion passed at a previous special meeting providing that the district scheme of club cricket be reverted to in the season 1930-31.
A special committee was set up, consisting of one delegate from each of the eight senior clubs, to formulate a scheme under the following heads:—Six district clubs, four district clubs and two closed clubs, four district clubs, two closed and four open clubs, six open clubs, and any other system. The main purpose of the district scheme and the present endeavour was to reduce the number of senior clubs.
