DOING WELL IN 'FRISCO.
JOE KISSOCK TO THE FORE. Soccer fans in Auckland, as elsewhere in New Zealand, will be interested to know that Joe Kissock, erstwhile Wellington, Auckland, New Zealand and Tram ways centre-'half, continues to take a prominent part in the code in San Francisco, whence lie went to settle on leaving , New Zealand. Kissock is a member of the U.S.I.V. Club, which won the San Francisco League championeliip last season, hi a communication to Mr. S.Drew, the Auckland Tramways Soccer Club's manager, Kissock gives a, breezy outline of the position of the game in the. States, throwing an interesting sidelight on the system of the pooling of iinancee in th e California Association Cup competition and the distribution of the ■proceeds on a pro rat a bas'la. In the Cii p competition the U.S.I.V. Club seem to have been the principal drawing power, recording the gate of 1127 dollars (£225), while the club's p o o 1 aillo'tment was 200 dollars (£4l). It is not likely, however, Kissock remarks in passing, that the pool system will be again adopted, as his dub's share would have been 512 dollars (£102) if not in the pool. Xeedlees to say, the successes of Tramways this eeasoii have been a source of much satisfaction to the club's former centre-half.
