IN AUCKLAND?
Mystery Of Missing Sydney Nurse. LETTER PROVIDES CLUE.
SYDNEY, September 10. Nurse Iris Lillian Mackiehan, who has been missing from Sydney since August 8 and for whom the police have conducted an exhaustive search, is reported to be in Auckland. Miss Maekiehan's father in Sydney received a letter from his daughter bearing the Auckland postmark. She originally came to Sydney from Queensland in order to sit for an examination. When she arrived here she sent a telegram to her parents notifying them of the fact. She then drew some money from a bank, since when she has not been seen.
