FRIGHTFUL SCENES.
Panic-Stricken Men On BurningTanker. CAPTAIN'S WIFE INJURED. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) ROTTERDAM, September 10. There was a frightful scene on the oil tanker Vimeira, which caught on firo yesterday, as the frenzied men, with their clothes burning, sought vainly to escape from the flames. Others leaped overboard and were picked up by the crew of a tug. Many "were sent to hospital. The captain's wife broke one of her legs in jumping overboard from the wheelhouse.
