EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE.
PRESBYTERIAN APPEAL. Appeal is to be made throughout the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand to make good damage done to property of the Church by the earthquake on the West Coast. The Auckland Presbytery considers £80 is its share of the amount. A request for assistance was received at a meeting of the Presbytery yesterday from the Assembly's Advisory Board in Wellington. The Moderator, the Rev. W. D. Mor-rison-Sutherland, said that it had been agreed to raise this money by retiring collections in the churches.
