The Concluding Event.

I The programme will conclude with the Flying Handicap, for which a fairly good field of sprinters is carded. Benzora, Laughing Prince and Silvermine have not raced for some time, but the lastnamed won the Owen Handicap at Wanganui, and later proved successful in the Stewards' Handicap at Riccarton, while he was second in the Kailway at Ellerslie. Prince Humphrey has only had one race since last November, and that was at the Marton meeting last week. He looked then, as though it would not be long before he returned to form. Teh Raider has also been off the scene for some time, but Keddar was a good sprinter last season, as were Lady Quex and Consent. Kaiti is one of the best-performed in the race recently. First Money showed a lot of dash as a two-year-old last season, while Moutoa Treasury finished third at Marton on Thursday last to Eaglet and Blimp. To Atiawa and Oration may have most friends of the others engaged. The principal selections when the machine closes may be KAITI PRINCE HUMPHREY MOUTOA TREASURY.
