FINAL GAIiOPS. MY OWN SPRINTS FAST. PEIXCE HUMPHREY PLEASES. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") WAXGAXUI, this day. . The weather was dull and threaten- ■ ing this rooming for the final gallops, j with a bitterly cold south-easter blow' ing. The tracks were in good order. First Money was given a couple of circuits on the hurdle track at a solid pare. Zarene went round a couple of times, finishing up fast. She loeks in good shape. " False Scent put in useful work over a couple of circuits on Xo. 1 track, where Cylinder and Love Song were sent a circuit, finishing up at good threequarter pace, the latter hitting out very freely. J Tourist (Fratus) and Glenstar (B. Morns) were companions in a spin over six furlongs, registering 1.21, the former doing it nicely. He appears to be in excellent fettle, and should run well in his engagements at the meeting. Eaglet and Air Laddie went six furlongs together, the latter being a shade in front at the end in 1.15 2-5. Shrewd and Cuticle were associated in a sprint over half a mile, which they cut out in 495. the last three furlongs being done in 375. Shrewd shaped very pleasingly. Prince Humphrey and Vertigern were companions over six furlongs. They ran the first three in 37 4-os, half in 50 2-55, and the full journey took 1.17, Prince Humphrey going well in front, Talisker was given a couple of rounds on the hurdle track, striding out well. Banket ran half a mile by herself on the Xo. 1 track in 50s. the last three furlongs taking 375. After breakfast My Own left three furlongs behind in 36J. The Lord Quex filly is in great fettle, and promises to make things interesting in the classic event. Cashier was not extended in a sixfurlong sprin. registering 1.4 4-5 for the last five. The Paper Money gelding looks in good order. Rameses covered half a mile in attractive style in 51s. High Faultin , slipped over five furlongs in 1.5, doing it nicely. Glennrtney had no' difficulty in running five furlongs in 1.3;. He looks all the bettor for his race at Marton. He I will probably be a runner on Saturday. Tar Baby and another youngster ran two furlongs in 26 1-;1«. Laughing Prince, who appears to be in capital order, was sent live furlong?, and got through his task in good style, in 1.3 2-5. He was wide out. Xorval Tea sprinted three furlong? along the back in 3G<=. Kaiti and Prince Lu were given threequarter pace work. Both are in good nick. Metellus strode out in good style in covering a circuit, siirinting down the straight. Brigadier Bill. Peshwa, High Court, War Flame. Star Area, and a number of others did work of a serviceable order. Equitant did not come in with Tiller's team, and will not be a starter at the meeting. Admiral Drake looks »n great fettle, and his prospects in the Guineas are highly assessed in some quarters.
