GIRLS' CLUB.
OPENING CEREMONY.
FINE SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
A large attendance of members and friends of the Auckland Interhouee Girls' Sports Association assembled this afternoon at their new home in Chancery Street for the opening ceremony in connection with the club.
The Mayoress (Mrs. Campbell), in performing the opening ceremony, congratulated the association; and Miss Wagner, working president of the association, received the guests. The latter also gave a resume of the work of the association since its inception six years
C Miss Peggy Higson, on behalf of the girls, presented Mrs. Campbell with a bouquet. Other speakers were Messrs. Clark (president of the Auckland Drapers and Mercers' Association) and J. E. Rendell.
Afternoon tea and music were features of the gathering, and the visitors had the opportunity of inspecting the fine club -which is* now available for the Auckland girls.
