SUBMARINE COMMANDER. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 2 p.m.)— LONDON; August 2. Lieutenant Robert Gardner, commander of; the submarine H47, was acquitted by a court-martial at Portsmouth on charges of losing or hazarding his ship, but he was found guilty, alternatively, of failing to avoid or minimise the negligent handling of Ll2. The Court reprimanded him.
