Results: — Gloucester, first innings, 122 for none (Dipper 72). Surrey did not bat and the match was drawn. Hampshire, first innings, 189 (Mead 82; Freeman four for 83); second innings, 208 for three (Mead 102 not out). Kent, first innings, 299 (Ashdown 74; Kennedy five for 94). Kent, won on the first innings. ' Lancashire, first innings, 200 for three, declared (Watson 84). Derby, first innings, 101 for four. The match was drawn. Nortliants, first innings, 76 (Voce seven for 23); second innings, 75 (Voce seven for 20). Nottingham, first innings, 218. Nottingham won by an innings and 77 runs. Worcester, first innings 148 (Peebles six for 57); second innings, 258 for eight, declared (Gibbons 08). Middlesex, first innings, 180 for eight, declared; second innings, 57 for none. Middlesex won on the first innings. Yorkshire, first innings, 320 for four, declared (Barber 100, Oldroyd 143). England eleven, first innings, 55 for three. The match was drawn. Essex, first innings, 205; second innings, 66 for two. Glamorgan, first innings, 216 for four, declared (Bates 81). Glamorgan won on the first innings.
