COMPLETION THIS MONTH. (By Telegraph.—Owu Correspondent) HAMILTON, Friday. The Hopuhopu military camp, which the Public Works Department has been constructing for over four years, will be handed over to the Defence Department this month. The camp has cost about £130,000, and is the most up-to-date in. the Dominion. It has permanent buildings to house 2000 men, and there are'over 30 buildings in concrete, ranging from a small oil store to two large double messhuts, each capable of holding 1000 men. The general stores, at present occupied by the Ordnance Department, are the most extensive in New Zealand. A large wooden hut, brought from Trentham camp in sections and reconstructed on the grounds, has been fitted up as a permanent hospital.
