Timber Merchants Refuse To ' Employ Them. IuELBOURNE SITUATION. i MELBOURNE, August 1. The Melbourne timber merchants have refused to re-employ a number of strikers who are said to be actively associated with the gang of men who have tried to terrorise volunteer workers. The number thus rejected is 700. The Timber Workers' Union is attempting to have these men reinstated.
