CLAY BIRD SHOOTING.
TAUMARUNUI CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, Thursday. The Taumarunui Rod and Gun Club held a successful clay bird shoot on Wednesday afternoon. The results are as follows :— Seven-bird Match.—W. Peck (20 yards), 6 birds, 1; E. Lightfoot (15 yards), 2. Seven-bird Match. — J. Wiske (14 yards). 6 birds, 1; R. F. Harris (14 yards), 2. Fifteen-bird Match, for the Harris Cup.— A. J. Richards (13 yards). 13 birds, 1; W. Peck (21 yards) and E. Lightfoot (13 yards), tied for second place. Five-bird Match.— G. Bretherton (12 yards), A. .7. Richardson (15 yards), and E. I/ightfoot (15 yards), tied for first place. In the shoot-oil' Brcthcrton won.

The King Country Gun Club hold a successful clay bird shoot at' the Kaitieko Domain. Owing to tho bad light the shooting was not. up to the usual .standard. Results are as follow: — No. 1 (six-bird sweepstake).—F. McFadgen, four breaks, 1; R. F. Holder, three breaks, 2. No. 2 (six-bird sweepstake).—F. MeFadgen, three breaks, 1; T. Kctii, two breaks, 2. . , ' . No. 3 (six-bird : sweepstake).—F. J. Southee and .T. Inverarity tied for first place with five breaks; F. McFadgen, foulbreaks, 3.
