JUNIOR POLITICAL PARTY.

. PARLIAMENT SET UP. . -At an enthusiastic meeting of the Junior United political organisation, held last evening, Mr. C. E. Clarke presiding, a mock parliament was set up, and, judging from the manner in which the idea was taken up, the "parliament" should he one of-the most successful branches! of the organisation. Mr. J. W. Hyland was appointed premier, Mr. R. T. King leader of the Opposition, and the other customary portfolios of a cabinet were filled. Members were appointed for each electorate, and in every way possible it was made a replica of the House of Representatives. It is intended to follow parliamentary procedure, so that the debates will be of great use to young men who have political aspirations. During the evening the chairman stated-that the organisation welcomed members of all shades of political thought, in order that the party might be a truly united one. Mr. H. A. C. Davy, the chief executive officer, said that if each member could add one new member a week the party would rapidly outnumber any other political organisation in the Dominion. The meeting passed votes of thanks to the chairman, to the vice-chairman (Mr. R.'T. King), to the secretary. (Mr. L M. Nutt), and to Mr. Davy for what they had done on behalf of the organisation.
