LONDON, July 22. Sir Alliott V. Roe, of the firm which manufactures Avro aeroplanes, to-day expressed the opinion that achievement, in aviation was only beginning. "Within 50 years," he said, "a flight from Britain to Australia in less than 24 hours will he commonplace. "Machines will travel at tremendous speeds in the upper atmosphere. "Air travel will supersede other forms because it will be the most comfortable and the safest. Multiple-engined amphibian machines will be used."
