PROGRESS IN CANTERBURY. THE REINSTATEMENT QUESTION. (Br Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby League executive the treasurer (Mr. L. Amos) reported that gate takings at Monica Park so far this season were 30 per cent better than those of last year. R .Murray, who was stated to have played the Rugby Union game this season and without reinstatement to League had turned out for the Woolston League Glib against Waimairi recently, wrote applying for reinstatement to the League code. Murray attended the meeting. The matter was taken in committee, and it was reported that Murray was granted reinstatement.
