CAPETOWN, July 12.
The fire in two holds of the steamer King Cadwallon (5119 tons) spread rapidly and the efforts of the crew being unavailing the ship was abandoned. The flagship Calcutta, which was at Durban and was ordered to rush to the vessel's assistance, left this evening.
