With a view to encouraging the study of Zoology, particularly the knowledge of the native fauna, of New Zealand, and providing for the acquisition of a representative collection of the fauna of the world, in Auckland, a meeting of citizens and those interested will he held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Auckland, at 3 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, July 17, to consider the-formationi of a Zoological 'Society; A cordial invitation is, extended by His Worship the Mayor; to all who arc in sympathy ■with the proposal, and who are desirous' of becoming members of the Society, to attend and take part in this inaugural meeting.
