SUNDAY PICTURES.
If "Disgusted" is disgusted at the ac-: tioh of the Pitt Street Methodists in passing what to all intents ahcl purr poses was a vote of censure on the altruistic picture house proprietors who pr6vided picture entertainments these last two Sundays for the most deserving of causes, well then, I am doubly disgusted. These poor souls with stunted vision, win measure giants by their narrow gauge, would do better to concern themselves with getting men to i draw nearer to one another and so; nearer to Him and understood than sit- j ting smug in vestries and causing gulfs between their brethren. It is small wonder that Tom Bracken, whose words I have used, wrote as he did. I am as much; disgusted with. "Disgusted" hiiiftelf as with those aforementioned self-appointed judges. My fault with "Disgusted" lies: in his charge, of •inconsistency, wherein he cites the Strand Sunday night services as being a picture entertainment, because such is not the case. As one 1 who went and saw, my impression is that there is very little picture, but a whole lot of religious service. However,: it was the first time I had attended a religious service for a long time. I Irad somehow just drifted until on that Sunday I-betook myself to the Strand and, much to my joy, found myself enjoying the service, but as to the pictures—no.; DOUBLY DISGUSTED, j —
