LOSS ON THE SEASON.
WAIKATO CLUB'S ACTIVITIES
A loss of £185 was experienced by the Waikato Trotting Club on its year's operations, according to a report submitted to the executive by the secretary, Mr. T. G. Reynolds. It was stated that rent accounted for £300, while grazing and insurance cost £52. Mr. W. A. Jordan expressed the opinion that the rent charged was excessive, while the chairman, Mr. Campbell Johnstone, said if the stakes were reduced by £1000 for the two meetings the club could pay its way. The club's opening meeting will be held on October 12.
