PROVINCIAL NEWS.
TE AROHA,
At (he quarterly meeting of the Methodist Church, the Rev. H. J. Udell prosided. It was stated that the activities •>£ all branches of the church -work were strong and vigorous. Gratifying reports front the Sunday school and Bible Glasses proved that the work was being well maintained. The income for the past quarter left a small deficit; but this was fully met by the surplus of the preceding term.
MORRINSVILLE.
A year of progress was reviewed at the annual meeting of the Morrinsville Band. In the report it was stated that Mr. L. Buchaiij bandmaster, had resigned owing to his removal to Te Aroha, and a tribute was paid to his services over a long period of years. The band liad been fortunate in gaining; the services of Mr. G. Large, late bandmaster at Ngaruawahia, to fill the vacancy. The election of officers resulted as follbws:—-Bandmaster, Mr. G. Large; secretary, Mi*. W. Reason; chairman, Rev. F. W. Willies; auditor. Mr. W. T. Osborne;' bandsmen on management committee, Messrs. Large, Davidson and Redshaw.
