COMFORT.
The riding comfort and safety attained by the six-wheeled type of chassis has led a prominent English manufacturer to patent a form of four-wheeled bogie, intended for the rear end of the sis-wheeled chassis. In this, three differentials are incorporated, and one of the advantages claimed for the design is that orthodox bevel-driven axles can be employed. Who knows but that we may not yet see cars of the future with the driving wheels in front, and four trailing wheels in the rear. The new type of six-wheeled private car chassis, for those who can afford them and who want to seat seven or eight people comfortably in their limousines de luxe, will carry all their luggage in neatly stowed away trunks, free from dust, dirt, rain or fierce sunrays. In this connection it is interesting to note that ,the King has recently purchased a six-wheeled salo-on car shod with Dunlop tyres, which will replace the pony traps hitherto used for taking the King's shooting parties across the moore.
