It wag stated at the annual meeting of the Hamilton East Club that the past year s working luid shown a profit of was decided to secure an estimate of the cost of installing arc lamps on the green m order to make play at night possible. The election of officers resulted:— Patron. Mr. A. X l . Nathan; president, Mr. W. Jorhan; vice-presidents. Messrs. E. li. Quill, It. Ilnndley, and \V. H. Pnckett; committee, Messrs. W. IJ. Cole, G. Lymburn, 11. Webster, unci \V. 11. Prickett; secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. 11. Quill. GLEN EDEN CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Glen Eden Bowling Club the president, Mr. N. S. Fox, expressed his gratitude for the help and co-operation experienced during his term or office.
The report showed a successful year, and (lie green to be in better order than had been experienced during the life of the flub. During the coming season it should be among the best in Auckland. The balance-sheet gave a substantial balance of assets over liabilities. Champion singles had been won by Mr. W. Klrkpa trick.
