ROTORUA NOTES.

Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Ward, who have been staving a Waiwera House, whilst staving in Rotorua, have returned to Wellington. Mrs. >J. Halkett, Pukuatui Street, is on a fortnight's visit to Buta • ! runt. Mr. and Mrs. E. . Kane have returned to Wellington. after an extended visit to Rotorua. Miss Haswell, of Ha '.vera, is visiting Eotorua. Miss H. Owens, Pukuatua Street, has returned from a holiday spent in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. C. Hitchcock, Herewini Street, have returned from a visit to Auckland. Miss Well-, of Wanganui. who has been staying in Kotorua, has left for Waitonio Caves and Wellington. Mrs. C'la.y and Miss Clav. of Sydney, who have been visiting the Thermal District, have left for Wangnui, Wellington, and the Cold Lakes. Miss Marshall has returned to Napier after a holiday spent in Rotorua. An effective poster display was held at St. John's Hall, Rotorua, on Monday evening, by Miss Winifred Guy, of England, who is touring the Dominion on an Empire Publicity campaign. Owing to the very unsettled state of the weather there was not a large attendance. Miss Guy, in an interesting address, outlined the necessity or New Zealand advertising abroad. Among the guests staying at Waiwera House, Rotorua, are: The Hon.
