INCIDENT AT A DANCE.
MEN OVER THE CEILING. COMMOTION IN A HALL. '"Norman Ena and S. R. August went into the Foresters' Theatre one evoiiin , ? vliile a dance was in prog/ess and f'limbed into the garret through a manhole in the ceiling. Their weight caused a break in the plaster ceiling ami a commotion in the hall when the debris fell on to the floor. They were charged with causing damage at the Onehunga Police Court to-day before Messrs. J. E. Cornell and J. E. Green.
Mr. Wesley Marten, manager of the pictures, said the damage cost £2 to repair.
Ena pleaded guilty. His mate did not appear.
After the evidence of Constable W. I' , . Johnson, who witnessed the affair, had been heard, they were convicted and lined 20/ each, and costs 25/4.
