PRIEST'S JUBILEE.
FATHER DIGNAN, OF THAMES.
HIGH TRIBUTE BY BISHOP,

The Very Reverend Father Dignan, of Thames, who attained the silver jubilee of his ordination, was entertained at a social last evening. Bishop Liston and a large number of clergy from all parts of the Auckland diocese were present.
Bishop Liston paid a high tribute to Father Dignan's sterling qualities, his good work at Thames, and the esteem in which he was held by both clergy and laitv.
The oldest parishioner, Mr. James McEnteer, presented Father Dignan with a well-filled wallet from the parish, and an illuminated address, which expressed the love and esteem of all his parishioners. Amongst those present at High Mass yesterday were Bishop Geary and Bishop Liston.
