" Reds " Accused Of Conspiracy To Wage War On King.

(Received 11 a.m.) DELHI, June 12.. The biggest trial ,in the history of India has opened at Meerut, where 31 self-styled Communists, including two Englishmen, one a Cambridge graduate, are charged with conspiracy to wage war against the Xing.
The Court is .being strongly guarded. The accused, who are escorted by armed police, entered shouting: "Down with Imperialism," "Onward the Bevolution" and other Bed slogans. The trial is expected to last three months and there are nearly 400 witnesses.
REDUCTION IN WAGES.
COTTON EMPLOYERS' PROPOSAL

The cotton manufacturers have decided to join the spinners in demanding an immediate reduction of 121 per cent in wages. Altogether 400,000 operatives are affected.
PRICE OF PETROL.
PROPOSED INCREASE DROPPED.
CANBERRA, June 12.
The Federal Cabinet has rejected the proposed increase of 4d.per gallon in the duty on petrol, as suggested by the recent conference of Premiers, and therefore the increase will not be imposed by the Customs, as was asked.
