ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
CASES ON SPORTS GROUNDS
OVER 300 MEMBERS ON DUTY.

WELLINGTON, this day.
The St. John Ambulance Brigade, in its annual report, states- that the membership, i s 1518. Fourteen new divisions (nine ambulance and five nursing) have been formed during the year.
The number of services performed was 28,523, against 21,629 in the preceding year. The number of cases of first aid attended to on public dirty-wa5'12,621, against 10,192 in 1927.'
In regard to the work carried out on Saturdays in connection with sport the following.table is supplied:—. .Auckland District: Grounds attended, 46; members on duty, 116; cases treated, 306,
Wanganui: 17, 49, 41. Wellington: 29, 63, 140, Canterbury. and West Coast: 25, 43, 42.=
Otago: 20, 41, 62. Invercargill: 1, 3, 2,
Grand Total: Grounds attended, 138; members on duty, 315; cases treated, 593. In the preceding year the totals were 93,250 and 411.
Cases of first aid attended to not on public duty totalled 13,415, against 10,075, and removal or transport work 1779.
