Thousand* of persons iled to the streets of Auckland when the earthquake waa felt. Evidently it is in reference to the earthquake which affected the Wanganui and Rangitikei districts, when the worst damage sustained was broken chimneys and windows, and minor damage to the roofs of dwellings.
