ROTORUA HOSPITAL FEES.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. "It is a very serious matter for boards sending patients to King George Hospital," said Mr. W. J. Danby at a meeting of the Thames Hospital Board, when a letter from the aoting DirectorGeneral of Health was read. He advised that the Minister had decided that the fee for adults at the King George Hospital be increased from 9/ to 12/ a day. Mr.- Danby said a strict check would have to be kept on patients. Te asked if, where cases failed to show an improvement after a reasonable time, the board could recall them. The chairman, Mr. W. E. Hall, replied that while Dr. Wallace was at Kotorua, there would be no necessity to recall a patient. He was the right man for the job and would give both the patients and the board a fair deal. The matter was then dropped.
