OBITUARY.

MRS. ELIZABETH WATT.

Mrs. Elizabeth Watt, of Takapuna, who died on Wednesday at her eon's farm, Pukekohe, was born in Auckland C 5 years ago. Her husband, the late Mr. Robert M. Watt, was for many years architect for the Board of Education in Auckland, and designed, among other buildings, the Leys Institute. Mrs. Watt is survived by two sons, Captain Watt and Mr. Alan Watt, and one daughter, •Mrs. Hungerford.

MR. HELIER BREE.

Mr. Helier Bree, whose death is announced, was born at St. Helier's, Jersey, Channel Islands, in September, 1837. He emigrated to ISFew Zealand at the age of 20, and saw active service with the Armed Constabulary during the Maori war, receiving a medal in recognition of his services.

When peace was declared he took up farming, first at Pirongia and then at Whangarata. He was one of the pioneer settlers at Te Mata, a district near Raglan, on the West Coast. His later years were spent in Auckland and at bnehunga. His wife predeceased him three years ago. He is survived by four sons and six daughters. There are 03 grandchildren and five great-grand-children, The interment will b§ at Tuakau on Sunday .
