NORTH AUCKLAND HIGHWAY.
THE MAUNGATUROTO CONNECTION. _ ( IMPORTANCE.:BEING .URGED./. ■ Great hopes are expressed by northern people that the work of construction of the main highway between Auckland and Maungaturoto will be expedited, as the completion of this link will enable travel between Auckland and the Far North in all weather conditions. Two main highways, one east to Whangarei and the other west to Dargaville, will then converge at Maungaturoto. It is generally considered that the scenic attractions of North Auckland, its incomparable harbours, beaches, forests and rivers, together with the vast areas of undeveloped land, will well justify the importance of this arterial highway connection.
