OLD-FASHIONED MUSIC STOOL.
To speak of a lumber room in these days is perhaps a misnomer, for so fewpeople could devote a whole room to unwanted goods, but if in your eauivalent of a lumber room you have one of those old-fashioned revolving musicstools, bring it forth, for it can be of excellent uee in the kitchen. Recover the top with a piece of American cloth — ■ it 13 easily kept in position with largeheaded tacks—revolve it to its highest position and uee it at the kitchen table for many cooking jobs that would otherwise be performed in a standing position. It does not make such an obstruction as a chair, and when not in use may be wound down to a low position and placed out of sight under the table.
