The British cruiser Kent, which moved from Nanking with the British Minister on board, stood by until this morning.

Eear-Admiral Craven, commanding the Yangtse flotilla, is on board tlie Luzon, which was only launched in the local dockyards ten months ago. No loss of life is reported.
