KIRK-WINDEYEB CUP MATCH.

FORTHCOMING TOURNEYS,

The monthly meeting of the council of the New Zealand Golf Association was attended by Messrs. W. E. A. GiU (chairman), L. 0. H. Tripp, W. A. Ively, M. J. Crombie, A. D. S. Duncan, and G. 0. Sutton (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Sir Alexander Roberts and Mr. H. R. Balneavis. Two further clubs, the Maxwell Uub, of Maxwell, Wanganui, and the Waikaremoana Club, of Hawke's Bay, were elected members of the association. These make a total of eleven new clubs elected during the present financial year. The Wanganui Club suggested that the championship tournament should start on Friday, September 27, and finish on Saturday, October 5, and these dates were eventually agreed to. Mr. A. D. S. Duncan stated that in. all probability he would not be able to go with the team, and it was therefore decided to add another man to the team, who will go irrespective of whether Mr, Duncan can go or not. Mr. J. L. Black was selected as the additional member and the secretary was directed to advise him by telegram and ask for an early reply as to whether he is available. The team will leave Wellington by the Maheno on July 19, and will leave Svclney by the Ulimaroa on August 16, arriving in Wellington on August 20. Forthcoming tournaments were advised to the association as under:—New Zealand open and amateur championships (Wanganui), September 27 to October s;' Rotorua Golf Club, August 27 to 30 (inclusive); Takapau Golf Club,, August 29 (ladies), August 30 and 31 (gents); Napier Golf Club, September 3 to 6 (inclusive) ; Waipukurau Golf Club, September 5, 6, and 7; Manawatu Golf Club, October 26, 28, and 29; Seafield Golf Club (Wanganui), October 26, 28,, and 29. AUCKLAND CLUB. Members of the Maungakiekie Club who, are not playing in the inter-club match against the Auckland Club will be wel-. corned as guests at Middlemore to-morrow,. PUPUKE CLUB.
