FLOODLIGHT MATCH.
GAME POSTPONED
Iα consequence of the heavy rain of yesterday and the end of last week, and the consequences of too much play on a sodden turf, the emergency committee of the A.F.A. tin's morning decided to postpone to-morrow night's floodlight fixture, Diomcdo v. JPonsonby. It was reported by Mi\ F. H. Baker, ground superintendent, that the turf was in surprisingly good condition in view of the heavy rains and the matches of Saturday, but, keeping in mind nevt Saturday's games and tho special attraction of Monday's rep. match, Navy v. Auckland, lie considered it would be advisable to postpone tho mid-week game to give tlic ground a chance to recover.
